1947 – Sam Breadon Sells the Team

Comeback from Ten Down

The 1947 team was good but couldn’t live up to the expectations of the previous teams. They did have a monster comeback on July 30 when they were behind 10-0 at home in the 4th inning facing Brooklyn and find a way to tie the game up with 6 runs in the bottom of the 9th inning. The Cardinals lost in the 10th inning.
