Joe Orengo (1914) – Was a Cardinals player when he made his debut on April 18, 1938.In 366 games over six seasons, Orengo posted a .238 batting average (266-for-1120) with 129 runs, 17 home runs, 122 RBIs and 156 bases on balls. Defensively, he recorded an overall .966 fielding percentage.
Lynn Lovenguth (1922) –In the Majors, Lovenguth appeared in 16 games, going winless in two decisions and 20 strikeouts in 27 innings. He issued 16 bases on balls and gave up 23 hits for a 1.444 WHIP. He was given his only starting assignment in what would be his last big-league game, on September 27, 1957, against the Chicago Cubs. He went into the eighth inning with the Cardinals holding a 2–1 lead; Lovenguth had surrendered only three hits and one unearned run. But the Cubs rallied in the eighth and scored twice on three hits to pin Lovenguth with the 3–2 defeat.
Irv Noren (1924) – Altogether, Noren played in 1,093 games over 11 MLB seasons. He collected 857 hits, including 157 doubles, 35 triples and 65 home runs, with 453 RBI. He batted .275 lifetime. Defensively, he recorded a .982 fielding percentage playing at all three outfield positions and first base.
Minnie Minoso (1924) – became a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2022,After the 1961 season, in which his average dropped to .280, Miñoso was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals in exchange for Joe Cunningham; Miñoso had led the AL in times hit by pitch every year since his rookie season, except 1955.[39] After struggling to adjust to his new league’s pitchers and strike zone, he missed two months of the 1962 season due to suffering a fractured skull and broken wrist from crashing into the outfield wall in the sixth inning of an 8–5 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on May 11, and finished the year hitting .196.
Allen Battle (1969) –He was drafted by the Cardinals in the 10th round of the 1991 MLB draft and made his debut on April 26, 1995. In his career he hit .230 with one home run and one RBI.
