- Oklahoma City (Texas) purchased Al Papai from the Cardinals in 1954.
- The Phillies traded Glen Gorbous in 1957 to the Cardinals for Chuck Harmon.
- The Cleveland Indians traded Mike Lee, Joe Morgan and cash to the Cardinals for Bob Nieman in 1961.
- The Royals purchased Dane Iorg from the Cardinals in 1984.
- The Cardinals, in 2003, purchased Marty Malloy from the Dodgers.
- The Cardinals purchased Will Cunnane in 2006 from Bridgeport (Atlantic).

Home Runs
On May 10, 1955, Stan Musial hit his 5th home run of the season and his 297th in his career in the bottom of the 6th inning. The Cardinals were at home facing the Phillie and they had Curt Simmons on the hill in a 1-1 tied game. No one was on base with 2 outs and Musial went deep to right field to tie the game.
The Cardinals were trailing the Cubs at home 3-1 on May 10. 1959 in the first inning. Stan came to bat with one on (Don Blasingame) and Dave Hillman was the Cubs pitchers when he hit a two-run homer to a deep left field. It was his 3rd of the season and 401st in his career.

Birthdays
Harry Berte (May 10, 1872 – May 6, 1952) was a Major League Baseball player. Williams played for the St. Louis Cardinals in the 1903 season. In four games, he had five hits in 15 at-bats, with one walk.
Forrest Crawford (May 10, 1881 – March 27, 1908) made his debut with the Cardinals on July 30, 1906, and hit .210 with no home runs and 14 runs batted in. He played his last game on May 17, 1907, and died just less than a year later.
Jim Hickman played for the Cardinals in his last season in the major leagues which were 1974. His last game was on July 14, 1974. In his 13-year career, Hickman batted .252 with 159 home runs and 560 RBIs in 1421 games played.
John Cumberland 1947 played for the Cardinals in part of 1972 and was 1-1 with a 6.65 ERA for St. Louis. He was traded on November 29, 1972, by the St. Louis Cardinals with Larry Hisle to the Minnesota Twins for Wayne Granger.
George Kottaras (1983) wasn’t with the Cardinals very long. He played in four games and was 1-for-5. Kottaras was claimed by the St. Louis Cardinals on July 11, 2014. On July 26, Kottaras was designated for assignment. He was released on July 29.
Edward Mujica (1984) On July 31, 2012, Mujica was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals for minor league third baseman Zack Cox. He was used primarily in the 7th inning of games for the team. On July 14, 2013, it was confirmed that Mujica would replace fellow Cardinal Adam Wainwright in the 2013 All-Star Game.
Ryan Jackson (1988) was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the fifth round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft. He was called up to the majors for the first time on August 10, 2012, and he made his debut the next day. He had two hits in 17 at-bats that year and was hitless in seven at-bats the next season.
