Birthdays

Joe McCarthy 1881 – he played for the Cardinals in 1906. In 16 career games, he had 9 hits in 39 at-bats. He batted and threw right-handed.

Herb Hunter 1895 – In 1921, Hunter made his last big league appearance, a nine-game stint with the St. Louis Cardinals during which he served mostly as a pinch runner (though not a very successful one, as he was caught on all three of his stolen base attempts) and was a .163 lifetime hitter.

Julio Gonzalez 1952 – He played for the Cardinals as an infielder during the 181-82 season. A .235 lifetime hitter. 

Jeff Little 1954 – a lefty pitcher in 1980 for the Cardinals that went 1-1 for the season. 

Nabil Crismatt 1994 – On January 31, 2020, Crismatt signed a minor league deal with the St. Louis Cardinals. On August 17, 2020, Crismatt was selected to the active roster. He made his major league debut that day against the Chicago Cubs, throwing one scoreless inning. On October 30, 2020, Crismatt was outrighted off of the 40-man roster. He became a free agent on November 2, 2020.
