1937– The St. Louis Cardinals released Randy Moore.

1940– The St. Louis Cardinals released Jack Russell.

1941– The New York Giants traded a player to be named later and Jumbo Brown to the St. Louis Cardinals for Tom Sunkel. The New York Giants sent Rae Blaemire (April 8, 1942) to the St. Louis Cardinals to complete the trade.

1941– The Cincinnati Reds purchased Bert Haas from the St. Louis Cardinals.

1984– The Cincinnati Reds traded Paul Householder to the St. Louis Cardinals for John Stuper.

2003– The St. Louis Cardinals released Pedro Borbon.

2006–  In the shortest game ever recorded at Chase Field, Brandon Webb one-hits the visiting Cardinals, 3-0. The only hit the Diamondbacks right-hander gives up in the 1 hour and 54-minute game in the desert is Scott Rolen’s two-out double in the fourth inning
